This Club was established in 1884 and in 1892 it had 140 members. It was originally housed in a little plank building with an atap roof to serve as a cricket as well as a social club.

Just with its humble beginnings, it was extended and improved upon very quickly. After a period of three years since its inception, it was extended using funds raised by its 18 members.

The Club was used for theatrical performances as there was no town hall available in the early 1900s. The club is a great source of entertainment for those who enjoy theatre performances.

Many theater shows are organized from time to time which attract a huge mass appeal. It was a joyous place with lots of singing and musical performances, although women were not invited to the "celebrations."

Not wanting to feel left out, two women decided to hide under the building to check out the progress. Unfortunately, they were discovered - but were invited to come inside. From that day on, smoking concerts "for men only" became a thing of the past!
