The Malaysian Nature Society is the sole protector of Malaysia's heritage. Operating since 1940, it is a member of many key habitats as well as national and state parks in Malaysia. It is a non- profit organization.

It works very closely with grassroot communities, local government as well as private organizations. In this new millennium MNS' work has become very vital for the continued conservation of the natural habitats. They strive to preserve and conserve the natural landscapes thereby maintaining the ecological balance in nature.

MNS concentrates on habitat protection using key flora or fauna to assist the country towards a sustainable growth. It believes that the best way to ensure the survival of any species is by protecting its natural habitat.

The future of the fragile natural heritage lies in the hands of well- informed and concerned citizens of the country. MNS has always infused nature education and awareness into all its conservation programs.
