Actors Studio Theatre

Since ages, theatres have been the main source of entertainment for people from all sections of the society.

The Actors Studio Theatre is situated in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Theatre, with a stage approximately 8m by 7m, seats 153 people but has on several occasions housed over 200 patrons.

Technically, the Theatre currently has 46 lamps with a computerized lighting console capable of storing 420 lighting cues. Regarding the sound system, there are 16 channel mixers with 12 mike points based at the edge of the stage area. Backstage is a props space in addition to a dressing room.

Attached to The Actors Studio Theatre is The Actors Studio Shoppe where theatre lovers and collectors of theatre memorabilia and can support the growth of the theatrical arts in Malaysia. Several successful workshops by Malaysian and foreign experts have been held here. Some of the more popular classes are the Children's Theatre Program for kids aging 3 - 12, conducted by professional teachers.

The Theatre was designed to be wheel chair friendly, with the main aisle consisting of a series of ramps to facilitate easy access for the wheel bound patrons.
