The Gallerie Taksu was opened in 1994 as a centre of art for the development and exhibition of art. The beautiful place also acts as a location for dinner parties, cocktails and fun.

This is one of the best- known galleries in the country. The gallery can be defined as professional, artful, beautiful and lively. Laid out in Balinese style and representing mostly contemporary artworks from various artists, both local and international.

The privately- owned gallery attracts clients from varied backgrounds. They include expatriates, art collectors, patrons, enthusiasts and art lovers. The gallery holds about six exhibitions every year. The gallery is proud to hold such events like, a photography exhibition presenting the works of Malaysia's Bernice Chauly and Amri Ginang, Japan's Junko Harada, Belgium's Laurent Achedjian and others. The gallery is also credited to hold an exhibition of artworks by the artists including, John Foubister, Enid Ratnam- Keese, Stephen Turpie and some of the most renowned artists.

The collection ranges from contemporary and abstract paintings and sculptures, to rare carpets, antiquities and artifacts.
